Jet Lag Hacks

Embarking on the adventure of a lifetime only to find yourself too fatigued to fully enjoy it is a traveler's nightmare. 🥴

Having traversed the skies between the US and Europe for decades, I’ve honed my strategies to combat the dreaded jet lag. Here are my top 3 tips to get the most out of your next trip:

🛫 Opt for the latest possible flight to Europe. While a 5pm flight may seem more civilized, landing in Europe eight hours later can feel like stepping into the dead of night. A later flight equals a later arrival time, meaning you have fewer hours to endure before bedtime beckons.

🛫 Before you take to the skies, take a homeopathic remedy to reduce jet lag. Safe, effective, and non-habit forming, it will reduce the stress and fatigue associated with changing your biological clock.

🛫 Tempting as those in-flight pretzels may be, avoid noshing post-midnight. In fact, forego breakfast and lunch upon arrival, making dinner your inaugural meal. Digestion takes energy, exacerbating fatigue.

🛫 Get outside and take a walk as soon as possible after arrival. Sunlight serves as nature's clock-resetter, while physical activity revitalizes both body and mind.

Try these jet lag hacks on your next transatlantic excursion, and drop me a line to share your experiences!
